Snom - Resetting a Handset

To perform a factory reset on a Snom handset, please follow the steps below:

  1. Using the circular silver key, press up
  2. Select 3 Maintenance
  3. Select 4 Factory Reset
  4. You will then be asked to enter an Admin Password. This can only be retrieved by raising a support case quoting the MAC address

If you are unable to access the menu you can also perform a factory reset by following these steps:

  1. Ensure a network cable is securely connected
  2. Remove the power supply. If using PoE, remove and then reconnect the network cable.
  3. Reconnect the power supply
  4. During the boot up process, press and hold the # key until you are presented with a menu to reset settings

Select 1.Settings Reset which will initiate the reset process

The reset process should run as follows:

If the reset process is successful, the screen should display the username associated with the handset.
